Ines Schiller (CEO Vyld)
Ines Schiller is the founder and CEO of Vyld, a startup creating ocean-friendly menstrual products from seaweed. With a background in philosophy, neuroscience, and film production, she has produced award-winning films and co-founded social initiatives like FOGMA and Mein Grundeinkommen. Inspired by her time as a marine guide in South Africa, Schiller saw the potential of seaweed as a regenerative, health-friendly material. This led to Vyld’s flagship product, the Tangpon, a biodegradable tampon. Committed to sustainability and purpose-driven business, she introduced the Future Profit Partnership Agreement (FPPA) to ensure mission-aligned financing. Her broader vision includes expanding into seaweed-based diapers and incontinence products—an “Algaeverse” promoting both human and planetary health.

About the CIFamily
The community events called “CIFamily” aim to offer the scene of chemistry-specific founders a place for trusting exchange and learning from each other. “Learning from experts and alumni/ae, sharing and discussing your own experiences with other participants and supporting each other” is the common goal of the community.
